By downloading, installing, or using the Nerrative mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
Nerrative is operated by Nerrative ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms govern your use of the App and any related services we provide.
2. Description of Service
Nerrative is an audio tour guide application that provides:
- Audio narrations about points of interest, landmarks, and historical sites
- Curated walking tours with navigation assistance
- Offline content download capabilities
- Multi-language audio content in 12 languages
- Gamification features including badges and achievements
- City exploration across 50+ destinations worldwide
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. You can sign up using:
- Apple Sign In
- Google Sign In
- Email and password
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Subscription and Payments
4.1 Premium Features
Nerrative offers both free and premium content. Premium features include:
- Unlimited access to all audio stories
- Extended deep-dive story versions
- Offline downloads for all cities
- Access to all supported languages
- Full tour navigation features
4.2 Purchase Options
We offer various time-limited passes:
- 1 Day Pass - $2.49
- 3 Day Pass - $4.99
- 7 Day Pass - $8.99
- 14 Day Pass - $14.99
- Monthly Subscription - $24.99 (auto-renewable)
4.3 Billing
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. By making a purchase, you agree to the payment terms presented at the time of purchase. Prices are displayed in your local currency and include applicable taxes.
4.4 Auto-Renewal
Monthly subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID account settings.
4.5 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policies. Please contact Apple Support for refund inquiries.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
- Share your account credentials with others
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Circumvent any access restrictions or usage limits
6. Intellectual Property
All content in the App, including but not limited to audio recordings, text, images, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Nerrative or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Our audio content is created using AI-generated voices from licensed text-to-speech services. All scripts are original content created by our team.
7. Location Services
The App uses location services to:
- Show nearby points of interest
- Provide navigation assistance on tours
- Enable auto-play features when near landmarks
- Track your exploration progress
Location data is processed according to our Privacy Policy. You can disable location services through your device settings, though this may limit certain App features.
8. Content Accuracy
While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about landmarks and historical sites, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content. Historical interpretations may vary, and some information may become outdated.
The App is intended for entertainment and educational purposes and should not be relied upon as the sole source of historical or factual information.
9. Safety Disclaimer
When using the App while walking or navigating:
- Always be aware of your surroundings
- Obey all traffic laws and signals
- Do not use the App while driving
- Remove headphones when crossing streets
- Exercise caution in unfamiliar areas
- Be mindful of local conditions and weather
We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages that occur while using the App.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NERRATIVE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Any unauthorized access to your data
- Any third-party content or conduct
- Any content obtained from the App
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nerrative and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by other means. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the App settings or by contacting us.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
